Extractor fans

Extractor fans will draw out moisture and odours from the bathroom, improving the air quality.

Not only is it a great idea to install a fan, but many building codes now require an extractor fan for new build construction or for major bathroom refurbishments.

There are two types of extractor fans available, the inline fan which is mounted within a loft space and ducted from a ceiling grill via the roof or soffit and the wall mounted fan having an integral fan ducted through the wall.

It would be advisable to purchase a fan that operates at a lower decibel for en-suite installations.

Ceiling extractor fans are also available with a built in LED light, convenient for use in shower enclosures.

Lighting regulations apply to domestic installations and must comply with the current IEE building regulations, Draw a Bath recommends you seek guidance from a qualified Part P registered electrician.
